Vanguard is a total waste item for most carry champion (since you're a very newbie player to DotA I'll mention it sucks late game). Radiance is an overrated item for PL (bonus damage doesnt do **** to clones; only usage is burn damage which doesnt stack) and people like you who rush Radiance complain PL's ridiculous farm dependence.
