The Vocalizer.createVocalizerWithLanguage method uses a default voice chosen by Nuance. To select a different voice, use the createVocalizerWithVoice method instead. RealSpeak Solo Voices You can choose to download each voice as either an EXE or CAB installer. Select the EXE file to install the voice onto the PAC Mate Omni from your computer using ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center. Choose the CAB file to perform the installation directly from the PAC Mate Omni. To install a voice using the EXE installer, do the following: • Locate the voice you want and choose the link to download the EXE file. Save the downloaded file in a location on your computer you can easily remember, such as the Desktop. • Establish a Standard or Guest connection between your PAC Mate and computer using Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center.

• Locate the downloaded file and press ENTER. This will begin the installation process.

Follow the prompts. • After installation has completed, press ENTER on the QX or DOT 8 on the BX when prompted to perform a warm reset.

To install a voice using the CAB file, do the following: • Locate the voice you want and choose the link to download the CAB file. • Transfer the CAB file to a location on your PAC Mate Omni. You can run the file from main memory or a CompactFlash card.

• Use File Explorer to locate the CAB file and press ENTER on the QX or DOT 8 on the BX to begin the installation, then follow the prompts. • Once the installation completes, press ENTER on the QX or DOT 8 on the BX when prompted to perform a warm reset. Vocalizer Expressive Voices Version 1 Vocalizer Expressive version 1 voices are available for use with JAWS 15, JAWS 16, JAWS 17 and MAGic 13.1. These voices offer many benefits including pitch adjustment, improved performance, especially in the areas of latency and speech quality, as well as support for a variety of languages.

Each voice can be downloaded as high premium or premium. The high premium voices are large files, but offer the highest quality speech. The premium voices offer very good speech quality and a smaller file size. Both high premium and premium versions of a voice can be installed on the same computer so they can be compared. Vocalizer Expressive Voices Version 2 Vocalizer Expressive version 2 voices are available for use with Fusion 11, JAWS 18, ZoomText 2018, and MAGic 14 (or later for each application). These voices are offered in two forms: compact voices and individual high premium voices.
